Everything you need to know about ConvyGo and the conveyancing process.
ConvyGo is a UK-based online marketplace that connects property buyers and sellers with regulated conveyancers. You register as a Client, describe your transaction, and conveyancers on our platform submit competitive quotes. You can then review their profiles, ratings, and pricing, and instruct the conveyancer who best fits your needs, all in one place.
A Client account is for individuals and businesses that are buying, selling, remortgaging, or transferring property. A Conveyancer account is for regulated legal professionals who wish to list their conveyancing services, receive enquiries, and manage cases through the platform. Both account types are completely free to register.
Once you register as a Client and submit your transaction details, our platform matches you with available conveyancers in your area or nationally. You can browse conveyancer profiles, read reviews from previous clients, compare fixed-fee quotes, and send an enquiry directly through the platform. There is no obligation to instruct a conveyancer until you are fully ready to proceed.
Yes. All conveyancers listed on ConvyGo are required to hold current authorisation from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC). We verify each conveyancer’s registration before their account becomes publicly visible on the platform, so you can instruct with confidence.
Conveyancer fees vary depending on the type of transaction (purchase, sale, or remortgage), the property value, and whether the property is leasehold or freehold. Because conveyancers on ConvyGo compete for your business, you typically receive more competitive quotes than you would by going directly to a high-street firm. All quotes include a full breakdown of legal fees and disbursements so there are no hidden costs.
The average UK conveyancing transaction takes between 8 and 12 weeks from instruction to completion, although this varies depending on the complexity of the chain, mortgage requirements, and the speed of searches and enquiries. Remortgages and transfers of equity are usually quicker and typically complete within 4 to 6 weeks.
Yes. ConvyGo uses industry-standard SSL encryption across the entire platform to protect your data in transit. We do not store payment card details on our servers. All personal data is handled in full accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy.
Yes. You can manage multiple transactions simultaneously under a single Client account, including a simultaneous sale and purchase as part of a property chain. Each transaction is handled separately within the platform, and you can choose to instruct the same conveyancer for both sides or select different conveyancers if you prefer.
In the first instance, you should raise a complaint directly with the conveyancing firm using its internal complaints procedure, which all regulated firms are legally required to have in place. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can escalate to the Legal Ombudsman or the SRA/CLC. You can also leave an honest review on ConvyGo to help inform other clients.
You can browse the platform and view conveyancer listings without registering. However, to receive quotes, contact conveyancers directly, or manage a transaction, you will need to create a free Client account. Registration takes under two minutes, and no payment details are required at the point of sign-up.
